Harold Pirlot
Harold Pirlot is a multidisciplinary artist whose painting practice is grounded in spontaneity, gesture, and material exploration. He works on raw canvas laid directly on the floor, engaging his whole body in the process. Moving between pieces, he allows gestures and marks to travel from one canvas to another, creating a sense of continuity and dialogue across works.
Using acrylics, oil pastels, and crayons, Harold builds layered surfaces where textures and contrasts evoke organic movement. His approach balances control with spontaneity—embracing accidents and integrating them as essential elements of the composition. Rooted in physical engagement, his work transforms painting into a meditative, evolving act where experimentation and materiality are central. Each canvas becomes a space to explore form, rhythm, and the traces of intuitive action.
